WWII Royal Navy Casualty Group Crew member HMS Arethusa

1939-45 Star, Italy Star and War Medal along with transmittal slip named to Richard Jordan, the medals are unnamed as issued.

Richard Jordan is a unique naval casualty name, he is listed on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site (see link below) as commemorated at the Chatham Naval Memorial and died on board HMS Arethusa 18th November 1944 and was an Able Seaman. HMS Arethusa took part in the Normandy landings and was the ship that carried George VI to Normandy on the 12th June to visit the beach heads
