Roman Republic Denarius Q. Antonius Balbus. Struck Rome 83-82BC as an extraordinary issue at the behest of the senate. This was the principal coinage of the Marian faction that opposed Sulla’s return to Roma. This choice Extremely Fine example is well struck and centred with an attractive tone.
