Roman Republic denarius M Sergius Silus struck at Rome 116-115 BC BC, Very Fine. According to Crawford the reverse apparently depicts the grandfather of M Sergius Silus who fought left handed after losing his right hand in battle.

Reverse:Horseman riding left, holding sword and the severed head of a Gaul in left hand, Q below. M·SERGI SILVS in exergue.
