Roman Republic Denarius L Papius Celsus  Rome 45BC. Some scrapes from past cleaning, Very Fine in terms of wear. A rare issue from a turbulent and pivotal period in Rome’s history.

Obverse: Laureate head of Triumphus right, trophy behind. TRIVMPVS
Reverse: She-wolf right lighting fire, eagle standing left fanning the flames. L PAPIVS in exergue, CESVS III VIR above.
