Alleged Royal Wedding Commemorative. Ugliest lump of silver I’ve Seen

A 1981 Royal Wedding commemorative medal, probably. 40mm diameter, 31.94 gram of sterling silver. I don’t know who made it and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be satire or it’s a genuine tribute to the couple. I find it hard to believe that when they struck the first trial piece and held it in their hand they thought “this is great, a job well done, these are going to sell like hot cakes”. So many questions.  Either way, it comes with a certificate of authenticity, in case you were worried it’s fake ugly and a case which I assume prevents it from turning milk sour.

At current spot prices there’s about £18 of silver contained in this monstrosity although I wonder if perhaps it might hold more value as an item for warding off evil or perhaps for use in a ritual for summoning demons.  The only thing I know for sure is I don’t want it and, for some reason that I can’t quite put my finger, on I don’t want to weigh it in. Look at their faces. His nose, her crossed eyes, the hair.  What’s going on?
