A second Anglo-Afghan War medal awarded and correctly named to 1103 Driver J. Smith. F battery, A brigade Royal Horse Artillery. The medal is missing it’s suspender and has at some point been harshly cleaned. John Smith is noted on the medal roll as having died on 3rd October 1879. I have done no research beyond checking the roll, I have no idea of the circumstances of his death or of the location of A brigade RHA on that date. The medal roll pictured is a screen shot, I can print this for the winning bidder if required though.
The Small Print:
All coins, medals and other items I sell are genuine unless I have explicitly described them as otherwise, I have been selling on eBay for over 20 years and I guarantee this forever. If I sell you something as genuine that later turns out to be a forgery I will take the item back and refund you in full including all postage costs. There are a great many groups on social media sites with experienced collectors and dealers posting coins that you can look at which will help you learn to grade coins and offer advice on whether a coin is genuine or not. Don’t get caught out by fake coins. Feel free to copy any of my images to post on groups to get opinions on the actual coins I’m selling.
I’ve made every effort to provide good quality images of the items I sell but, with coins especially, there’s no substitute for having it in hand to examine it under a lens to assess it. If you buy anything from me and are disappointed when you receive it, for any reason, send it back in the same condition as it was received and I will refund you.
