This set was produced in 1995 by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII. Struck in sterling silver the coins in the set are:
UK £2 coin 15.98 grams .925 silver
Alderney £2 coin 28.28 grams .900 silver
France 100 Francs 22.2 grams .5 silver
Guernsey £2 coin 28.28 grams .925 silver
Israel 2 sheqalim 28.8 grams .925 silver
Netherlands 50 Guilder 25 grams .925 silver
Norway 50 Krone 16.8 grams .925 silver
Russia 2 Roubles 15.55 grams .5 silver
The set is housed in its original Royal Mint case with the information booklet giving the specifications of the coins. There is some toning to the coins (see photos). A relatively scarce and impressive set of coins.
